My Journey with Web Development and Content Management Systems

In the early days of my career, around 2008, I embarked on a journey that would shape my professional life in ways I couldn\’t have imagined – I started creating web pages using Content Management Systems (CMS). At that time, Joomla was my CMS of choice. It was a robust platform that offered a wide range of features and functionalities. I was fascinated by its flexibility and the ease with which I could create and manage web content.

As I delved deeper into the world of web development, I began to appreciate the power of CMS. It was not just about creating web pages; it was about creating experiences. Each website I worked on was unique, with its own set of challenges and opportunities. I learned to adapt, to experiment, and to push the boundaries of what was possible with Joomla.

However, as the digital landscape evolved, so did my preferences. WordPress started gaining momentum, and I was drawn to its user-friendly interface and extensive plugin ecosystem. I gradually transitioned from Joomla to WordPress, and it soon became my go-to CMS.

Over the years, I\’ve had the opportunity to work with various other CMS platforms, each with its unique strengths. From Drupal\’s powerful taxonomy system to Magento\’s e-commerce capabilities, my experiences have given me a broad perspective on the CMS landscape.

Even when I joined the corporate banking subsidiary, I continued to nurture my passion for web development. I maintained a side business, offering web development services to various clients. This allowed me to stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the CMS world.

Looking back, I realize that my journey with CMS has been about more than just web development. It has been about understanding the needs of users, about creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences, and about constantly learning and adapting in a rapidly changing digital landscape.

In the end, the choice of CMS is less about the platform itself and more about what you can achieve with it. Whether it\’s Joomla, WordPress, or any other CMS, the goal remains the same – to create impactful digital experiences that resonate with users. And that\’s a journey I\’m still on, learning and growing with each new project.
